iOS application license

The iPhone and iPad application is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The applicable Apple terms also govern TestFlight testing. This page does not replace those agreements.

Independent project

Stream Frame is created by Boxtree, Inc. It is not an official Valve project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve. Steam and Steam Frame are trademarks of Valve Corporation. Apple, iPhone, iPad, Mac, and TestFlight are trademarks of Apple Inc.

Your headset and captures

Use Stream Frame only with devices you own or are authorized to access. You are responsible for permissions and rights relating to the content you capture or share, including the privacy of other people. Stream Frame does not provide games or grant rights to third-party content.

Compatibility and security

Live streaming requires a compatible Steam Frame, configured SSH access, ffmpeg, and a local network. Availability can depend on headset firmware and network settings. SSH protects login and control traffic; video travels over unencrypted local UDP. Use trusted networks and verify SSH fingerprints.

Open-source software

The iOS app includes Citadel, SwiftNIO SSH, SwiftNIO, Swift Crypto, BigInt, and supporting Swift libraries. Their respective licenses remain in effect. Read the open-source notices; they are also available in the iOS app’s Settings.
